Enviracare 11520 air filter stopped blowing air suddenly.?

Honeywell Enviracare 11520 > very old over 10yrs > always worked perfect.

I am always interested in fixing rather than junking, so if it is possible to fix that would be great. If not, I’ve definitely got value from the unit.

It just stopped blowing air one day. The motor runs or sounds like it is trying to run. But the fan isn’t blowing. Is there a way to fix it? I have always kept it clean & changed the filter on schedule. As far as I can tell it just gave up. I’ve taken the outside apart (not the inner motor, but can if needed) & cannot see a failure point. Though I am not in anyway knowledgeable about motors, I just did it to see if there was anything obvious.

If it needs a replacement part, that’s not an issue. I’m fairly good at stuff like that. A pointer on where to find the part would be nice.

Thanks for your help.
Checked the fan, it’s fine. Still not working after checking.
After completely taking the motor apart (oil is not a friend to the manicure) I was stymied by the ball bearing case. Short of using a sledge hammer (which would be a tad counter productive) I can’t figure out how to get at the ball bearings to grease them other than using silicone spray at the cracks.

Any other ideas?

is the motor buzzing, this means it has power and is not turning. this is the standard indicator for AC motors. it is an air moving motor which means that he bearings are prone to sticking. take it apart and try to turn the blower. if it is sticky, lube it up with something heavy. if it spins freely, then put it back together a little bit and see if you can still spin the blower while it is in it’s cowling. if not then you have something hitting it in there, it is possible that the way it is sitting in the unit is causing pressure on the motor’s bearings and is keeping it from spinning.

Check to see if the fan itself is tight on the motor shaft. That may explain why you hear it running yet it blows no air.
